Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Introduction
WebSab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Presented mobile application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, what stays on your device, what reaches our servers, and the choices and rights you have.
The short version: Presented works without an account, and if you never sign in, none of your information ever reaches our servers. Signing in is optional and unlocks the social features — profiles, friends, and shared wish lists. Section 3 explains exactly what leaves your device when you do.
By using Presented, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Who We Are
WebSab is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

2. Using Presented Without an Account
You can use the whole birthday and gift-planning side of Presented without signing in, creating a profile, or giving us an email address.
What you enter stays on your device
The people you add, their birthdates, your gift notes, your wish list items, and any photos you attach are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Photos are stored as files on your device.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, this local data may sync across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit service. That sync runs inside your personal iCloud account. We have no access to it, and it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn it off for Presented in your device's iCloud settings.
Device permissions
Each of these is optional and requested only when you first use the related feature:
- Contacts— to import names, birthdates, and photos from your device's contacts. Contacts are read on your device only. We never upload, transmit, or store your address book.
- Camera — to take a photo for a gift note, wish list item, or profile picture.
- Photo Library — to choose an existing photo for the same.
- Notifications — to deliver birthday reminders.
You can revoke any of these at any time in your device's Settings.
If you never sign in, this is the whole picture. Nothing in this section reaches WebSab.
3. What Happens When You Sign In
The social features — your public profile, friends, and shared wish lists — need an account. Signing in is entirely optional, and the rest of the App keeps working if you never do.
We use Sign in with Apple. It is the only sign-in method we offer.
When you create an account, the following is stored on our servers (Google Firebase, see section 7):
- From Sign in with Apple— a unique Apple user identifier and your email address. If you choose Apple's “Hide My Email,” we only ever receive Apple's private relay address, not your real one.
- Your profile — the display name you choose, your @handle, your birthday (month and day, and the year only if you choose to add it), your bio if you write one, and your profile photo if you add one.
- Your shared wish list — the items you add, including title, description, price, link, note, and photo.
- Your friend connections — your friendships, and pending friend requests you have sent or received. A pending request stores the display names of both people so the request can be shown to you.
- Push notification tokens — an identifier for each device you have enabled friend notifications on, so we can deliver them.
- Purchase status — whether you own Presented Pro (see section 6).
- People you block — your identifier and theirs. Your block list is visible only to you, never to the person blocked.
- Reports you file — if you report someone, we store your identifier, theirs, the reason you selected, and anything you write in the note. Please keep notes to what happened; whatever you write, we store.
What is never uploaded, whether or not you sign in: the people and birthdays you track privately, your gift notes, and your contacts. Those stay on your device as described in section 2. Creating an account does not change that.
4. Who Can See What
Visible to anyone using the App
Your display name and your @handle appear in search results, so people can find you and send a friend request. Choose a display name and handle you are comfortable being publicly searchable.
Visible only to people you have accepted as friends
Your birthday, your bio, your profile photo, and your shared wish list.
Visible to nobody but you
Everything covered in section 2: your private list of people and their birthdays, your gift notes, and your imported contacts. Also the list of people you have blocked.
Visible only to us
Reports. Nobody is told that they have been reported, or who reported them. Blocking works the same way — the person you block is not notified, and they will not be told why a friend request stops going through.
You control your friendships. A friend request only becomes a connection when the recipient accepts it, and either person can remove the connection at any time.
5. Analytics
Presented includes optional, privacy-preserving product analytics, provided by Google Analytics for Firebase.
It is off by default. Collection is disabled when the App starts and stays disabled unless you turn it on. We ask you once, and declining is a normal answer that we do not ask about again. You can change your choice at any time in Settings, and turning it off also deletes the analytics identifier on your device.
When enabled, it records which screens and features are used — for example, that a birthday reminder was opened, or that the paywall was shown. It never includes names, birthdates, photos, gift notes, contacts, wish list contents, or the identity of your friends.
We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA). Presented does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not serve advertising, and does not build advertising profiles. Ad personalization signals are disabled.
6. Purchases
Presented Pro is a one-time purchase, handled by Apple's App Store. We never see or receive your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and to restore it on your other devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase identifier and transaction information from Apple. Their handling is described in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
7. Service Providers and International Transfers
We use the following providers. Each processes data only to provide the App.
- Google (Firebase) — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics. This is where the account data in section 3 is stored and processed. Google acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.
- Apple — the App Store, iCloud/CloudKit sync, Sign in with Apple, and the notification system.
- RevenueCat — purchase validation, as described in section 6.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Data on your device — for as long as you keep it. Deleting an entry in the App removes it. Deleting the App removes the rest, though iCloud data is managed through your Apple ID settings.
- Your account and its server-side data — until you delete your account.
- Inactive accounts — if you do not sign in for 24 months, we delete your account and its server-side data. Signing in resets this.
- Analytics — 2 months, after which Google deletes the underlying event data.
- Reports — kept as a safety record, including after the account they concern has been deleted. Section 9 explains why.
9. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account from inside the App, under Settings, without contacting us.
Deleting your account removes your profile, your @handle, your profile photo, your shared wish list, your friend connections and pending requests, your notification tokens, the list of people you blocked, and your sign-in record. It cannot be undone.
One thing does not get deleted: reports. Reports you filed, and reports other people filed about you, are kept. If they were erased along with the account they concern, anyone could clear every report against them by deleting their account and signing up again, which would make reporting worthless as a safety measure. We keep them on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the App safe for the people using it, and we keep them no longer than that purpose requires. If you believe a report about you is wrong, email hello@websab.nl.
Your local data — the people, birthdays, and gift notes described in section 2 — is not affected, because it was never on our servers. Delete the App to remove that.
10. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (as it is for analytics).
Most of these you can exercise directly: edit your profile in the App, toggle analytics in Settings, and delete your account in Settings. For anything you cannot do yourself, email hello@websab.nl and we will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
11. Age
The birthday and gift-planning features of Presented are suitable for all ages.
The social features — creating a public profile, appearing in search, and adding friends — require you to be at least 16. This matches the age of digital consent under the GDPR in the Netherlands. We do not knowingly create profiles for children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has created a profile, email hello@websab.nl and we will remove it.
12. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to your account data is restricted by server-side security rules so that only you, and where relevant the friends you have accepted, can read it. Your profile photo and wish list photos are stored in access-controlled storage.
No service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your personal data and poses a risk to you, we will notify the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens within 72 hours and inform you where the law requires it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we make a material change, we will update the date shown at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects you, tell you in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
